Chronicles of an Institution

The NDSH Museum is located in a former porch. Through the years the attached rooms were used for patients' residences, administration, and a patient thrift store.
Most of the museum is set out chronologically. A large timeline on the wall describes important events in the hospital's history in the context of developments in psychiatric care.
The interactive center includes pictures, documents, and historical information. Visitors can also record their own memories and experiences involving the North Dakota State Hospital.
